Placenta abruption can happen no matter where your placenta is. Has the bleeding stopped yet? if you get clots you need to go to the hospital. I am hoping it stopped. I had a room mate when i was in the hospital for preterm lbaor and she was bleeding, they couldnt find out why she was but her placenta was at the top too. She had cramping and soreness right there without contractions. And although they couldnt say that was where the bleeding was from, they said that she needed to deliver b/c that is the babys life line and when it starts to pull away it cuts off the babys air. So if you feel acheness where you placenta is and still bleeding, i would diffenantly go back. Please, take care. let us know any updates(and i am not trying to scare you in anyway if it sounds like that, just trying to make sure nothing happens to your baby or you.)

I had bleeding in the last few weeks of my pregnancy with dd ( sometimes quite heavy with pains as well). they never found out why even though they did loads of tests. They did however induce me bang on 40 weeks just to be on safe side.

Please try not to worry, there are lots of reasons for bleeding in pregnancy most are fine and present no problem to you or baby, just make sure every time you get any bleeding you get it check out at the hospital just to be on safe side.

thanks hun, the bleeding has stopped and it was always only a little bit. I'm sure they will check me thouroughly when i go back in at 7am for the second injection. There is definitely no blood at the moment but i feel very crampy but i keep thinking that ive probably made it worse in my head because im worried about it.
