On thursday I'll be having my 4th Anomaly scan. The first one was done too early at 18 weeks and baby was lying wrong way to get all the pictures. I went back at 20 weeks, they got all but heart and kidneys. I had another at 21 weeks and she got the kidneys. I've now got another on Thursday and I am scared out of my whits that something is wrong with her heart. The sonographer said that because she was lying directly under my belly button, there was a shaded area on the scan that couldn't be seen properly.

Has anyone else had this or was it an excuse not to worry me? I know alot of babies are born with heart problems but it's so scary. My OH's sister died a few days old because she had a hole in her heart so I'm even more scared because of that.

My OH had a hole in his heart so I'm afraid my LO will too. I was told it's fine though. I refuse to be 100% positive about it untill she is here. Not the same situation though. Good luck and I hope you have no reason to be worried!

I'm sure she's just being a naughty girl and not doing as she's told!!

If everything else looks good, theres a good chance her heart will be too.

My first scan we had problems seeing things, baby had it's back to my tummy and was under my belly button so I ended up getting another one done too. I had the same concern that they just didn't want to tell me something, everything turned out fine though. I will keep my fingers crossed that it works out the same for you.
