I have always been told that any bleeding at all should be checked out. I am not saying it is anything to worry about as I have bled during all three of my pregnancys & it has always been ok. But I would ring your MW or hospital & let them know just incase. Good luck xx

It does happen pretty frequently that women experience some bleeding after BDing, don't disagree with elles though, it never hurts to have these things checked out

Chances are it's just normal pregnancy bleeding, so sorry that they upset you on the phone. The fact that you only had a little bleeding and no cramps is a good sign, as is the fact that you are 16 weeks pregnant.

70-75% of all women bleed during their pregnancy. It's only a sign of miscarriage if it's bright red, can soak a large pad in an hour or you have pain with it! The nurse was a dumbshit, to say it nicely

I had bleeding after BDing. Turned out to be nothing (after a night in the ER, wonderful) Bleeding is actually really common during pregnancy but I do recommend getting checked out just to be sure.

Very insensitive of the doctor to tell you over the phone that you may have miscarried But he was right take it VERY easy just until you know, feet up and relax.

Good Luck, fingers crossed for you.

That doctor should be put down....honestly it is very common to bleed esp after sex....try not to worry (easier said than done I know)

I'd get checked out just to make yourself feel better, but don't stress over it they were pretty dumb to tell you that, don't know where they get their information, did you tell them it was after sex?

yeh i told them it was after BDing and basically my life story as i went into panic mode once he said wat he did...
im going in first thing to the walk in clinic at my doctors where a on call midwife will be as mine is unreachable all the time...(plan to change her tomoror)
But thanks soooooo much for all your comments... i assumed it was common to bleed after thats why i wasnt to stressed but once i got thru to the dr and that was said i jus cried and thought the worst!!

Thanks everyone im so glad i can ask people who have gone through it rather then just listen to some DR who lacks ppl skills...

Love to all xxx
