I have this bad! Tums are okay to take, but like you said, it doesn't always help. Sitting up straight after a meal helps, avoiding trigger foods, and a nutritionist told me to switch to a reduced fat milk and have a glass of that to soothe. It's terrible, isn't it?

Hello

Just so you know, if you go to your docs, they can give you a prescription for a giant bottle of Gaviscon Advance and it's free!

A bit naughty but my hubby really suffers so I asked for one when I was there (I'm sure I'm starting to get it now anyway) and she was happy to prescribe it. It works really well for him so worth a try....

Cheers
x

Hello! I've found that my heartburn gets so bad that it makes me cough - and really puts me off eating for fear of getting more. I bought some Rennies (their in a silver packet) and they seem to do the trick for me. I go to Yoga too, and the teacher there said to avoid lounging/reclining on the floor on your back, as this can encourage it. Hope that helps
