Low BP is much better than high. Just be careful getting up in the middle of the night. When you are sleeping your blood pressure drops. I had a very bad experience (before being pregnant) when I went to the loo in the middle of the night and passed out. Woke up on the bathroom floor unable to stand and sweating badly even though I was naked on cold tiles.
When you wake up first sit up for a while before standing!

My blood pressure has always been at the lower end of average 100/70 at the beginning of pregnancy and then 90/60.... The midwife wasn't concerned as it's normal for me. But then it dropped to 90/55, and I felt really faint an nearly passed out, which is really only a danger to you I've been told... in case you fall and hurt yourself. Hope this helps

I think most people go with the due date from the scan don't they? My date according to my last period is 12 Sep but when I have my dating scan they said more like 9 Sep - this seems to be the date the MW and hospital are now working to. (However, I'm still counting from my last period as otherwise I'd just get so confused.) In the end I guess baby will come when he/she feels like it

Is 95/60 low BP? Mine has always been 100/60 and has never caused me any problems. I never spring up from sitting though but that's more coz of 'round-ligament thingy' oachy-ness.

Hope this helps!

I've always had lower blood pressure (even pre-pregnancy). My OB actually told me that it's a good sign to have lower blood pressure (that most pregnant women do have lower blood pressure than they normally would)--like others have said much better than high and I don't think it's anything to worry about.

As for the dates, did you have a standard 28 day cycle because that's what they base those off of. For myself I calculated my due date to be July 22, but the doctors tell me July 24....my AF was only 24 days in length though and I'm almost positive I ovulated earlier than when the doctors said I did (the ultrasounds have supported this so far) and I've just kept my due date as the 22!

Low blood pressure happens in pregnancy right around this time as the progesterone in our bodies relaxes the veins and arteries to allow for more blood volume in the later months of pregnancy.

It sounds like your veins and arteries have expanded, and the volume just hasn't caught up yet (which is VERY typical for this time in pregnancy).

I bet by the time you are hitting your third trimester mark your BP will have swung up a bit.

Don't worry, drink lots of fluids, and get up slowly to avoid those near fainting spells.

As for the dates, docs go off the LMP not the day we BD, nor the date we ovulate. My calculations for due date are a day or two off the 'medically determined due date', but if you have a long duration from the first day of your last menstrual period and the day you ovulate (like 21 days) this would account for the week's or more difference in the EDD calculation your doc made vs the one you calculated.

As for how far you are...remember, it's all a guesstimate. With my first I knew when I had OV'd and when we'd done the jiggy jiggy so to speak, and I *thought* I knew there was absolutely NO WAY I would get pregnant (long story, but we took a few months off the jiggy before we got married, so we *couldn't* do it when I OV'd). Imagine my surprise when I showed up pg with our wedding night baby Our bodies and conception work in mysterious ways, as much as we want to think we know what is going on- so don't assume the doc is wrong. On the other hand, I think docs are notorious for misjudging how far along a baby is. If you think about it, every baby grows at it's own pace, so really, how could anyone know. As long as your baby is growing along at a good pace and there are no problems, I wouldn't sweat exactly how far along you are- baby will come when she is good and ready

And my sis normally has low blood pressure and it remains low her whole pregnancies (it's similar to yours). It's never been a problem or an issue.

I have only ever had 2 normal 28 day cycles, mine have always been between 30 - 35 days, but a couple less and more. My last normal cycle was 30th December, but when doc asked on Wednesday, I couldn't remember, so I presume he went off scan! I still say baby isn't 23cms!!!!!!!!! The few months leading up to my last period were:
32
32
34
30
28 - very light
20 - light
17 - normal. This was my last one before I got pregnant.

Anyway, I'm pregnant and I'm happy, so as long as babs come out healthy and my pregnancy goes ok, then I'm happy all round. I just wish I spoke more Bulgarian so I could ask why he has come up with the date.

Thank you everyone for all your input and advice. Glad I'm not the only one with low blood pressure, and anyway, I get it from my mum!!!

Not a good morning so far, I've not stopped sneezing. Now in the UK, I was allergic to mornings, every morning, no matter what time of year, I would have a sneezing fit. Now I know you can get runny nose in pregnancy but I also suffer from hayfever. It's not been too bad since I moved here at all, but I wonder whether it is down to the change in my body. Does anyone else suffer bad, if yes, is it just a matter of carrying lots of tissues and putting up with it??? It's playing havoc with my eyeliner!

Doc said I was 18 weeks on Thursday and due the 16th, but 18 weeks to 40 weeks from Thursday would take me to the 18th, so really don't think he's done his sums right!!.

My dads birthday is 21st so you can imagine what he's been saying .... something along the lines of keep it in for a bit longer!!! You try telling baby that!!
