My OH has felt it once or twice and thats only because he has sat there for ages with his hand on my bump lol he ends up with dead arm after a while lol usually though the baby stops moving as soon as he puts his hand there lol

Tell hubby to be patient. My LO was EXACTLY the same.. She'd kick for hours on end and as soon as OH put his hand on my tummy she'd stop.. But he got quite stroppy if she didn't kick straight away and give up lol.. So yeah tell him to be patient.. You could also try walking around for half an hour or so and then a cold glass of water and lay on your back and wait for LO to move.. The walking will calm baby down but the cold water and relaxing will wake baby up..

Mostly though it's all about patients.. I'm sure it will happen soon and when it does you're OH will definitely think it was worth the wait!!

xxx

Hubby managed to feel his first kick on Monday night in bed and he was very overcome.

I think it made it very real for him. He was so sweet afterwards and said he really enjoyed it - Bless him.

Somebody said if you put his hand there (not too firmly) when the baby first starts moving and does a big kick, you will often find it will kick again in the same place. I tried this and sure enough, it did. A few times in fact.

A great moment - good luck! I can't wait to try it again x

My DH felt our baby move for the first time on Valentines day! I was having a bath (and she always gets really active when im in the bath) and she really started giving it what for, I called my DH in and he put his had on my belly but she stopped. He sat there talking to me for a few mins and she started up again I didnt tell him when she kicked/moved but his eyes went all wide and he got a sloppy grin on his face and then she did a could more and he was over the moon.

We were both chuffed because he's been wanting to feel her for ages.

Be patient and calm it will happen in the end

Yes - once for definite. A couple of not-sures. Mostly, the position of the placenta is cushioning the movements, so the kicks are not as strong. The strongest movements are really low down and not feel-able by other people.

My hubby has felt mine kick a few times now. But like the rest of you most of the time when he puts his hand on my tummy she stops kicking. Have you tried to eat something sweet like chocolate? That wakes mine up and some of the woman at work have felt baby kick now.
