Anti D Injections

Is there anyone in their second pregnancy. How is your blood type effecting it. It says in my book that rhesus negative can cause problems in your second pregnancy and I am now a little worried. What are other peoples experience of this.

My MW said it will only cause problems in your next pregnancies if you dont have the Anti D injections.
If you had them then you should be fine

I'm on my third pregnancy with no problems - am 'a' too and it's no different. As long as you have anti -d injections in your first and subsequent pregnancies then this stops any antibodies being made that can harm a baby. Both babies I've had so far have been positive blood types and so there was a chance that I could have created antibodies so I was glad i had the jabs as recommended... you'll be fine. They test your blood early on to see if you have any antibodies there anyway so you'll be able to be reassured that all is well.. x

it only causes problems if u are 'sensitised' as in not given the anti d in ur first pregnancy so developed antibodies.... I have been fine this pregnancy too, apart from carrying out the normal bloods and writing in my notes that I'm negative and that I have no antibodies I don't think the MW is looking for anything else that goes with it and has booked my injections for 28 weeks so far...
