I cant really help hun as ive not had a home visit, ive always gone to the GP surgery instead! I imagine it will be pretty much the same though, she will prob just check your blood pressure and have a chat to you about how the pregnancy has been so far. She might also want to take some blood. I was petrified because I hate needles with a passion but it was no where near as bad as i thought.

good luck anyway and let us know how it goes

My first midwife appointment was a home visit. I was about 45 minutes long. We filled in paper work etc. I don't think you really need to be prepared. Good luck!

Mine took an hour and she mainly spent it running her fingers along things checking for dust.......only joking. She took blood and filled a few more forms in.

naughty !!
It'll be fine.... you don't need to prepare for the first ones as such.. it's when they start on the 'down below' stuff that you need to 'prepare'.

I was doin driving lesson when I was preggers with Ethan, and I passed my test about 2 months before he was born. Good Luck with it, play on the whole pregnancy thing, I swear I just passed because he was worried he might send me into labour
