I think my grandpa is going to be crushed.

So DH and I didn't care if our bean was a boy or a girl, and always thought it was going to be a girl. We found out this weekend that we are having a boy.

Well, my grandpa is over the moon, he is greek and very traditional, so this is a big deal to him. Now his first grandson and great grandson were both boys.

He has started asking my family if we are planning on naming our son after him, like my aunt did with his first grandson. Problem is, we are not and have no plans to. And we've already decided that he is going to have two middle names, after both of our dads, so we can't even make him happy that way.

I am sensing that he is going to be a little dissapointed! So we decided that we are going to keep our name secret (once we figure it out) so that he'll focus on his grandson at birth instead of his name.

I think he is jolly honoured to have TWO babies named after him. I can't imagine any person going so far as to expect a baby be named after them unless one of the parents specifically told them that was what they were going to do. I would guess that you are worrying about nothing.... but it's a good solution anyway, on the safe side

He already has a baby boy named after him anyway. I think that keeping it a surprise would be the best solution. He'll focus on the blessing of a happy, healthy baby boy. :]]

I think that's a good plan too... no reason you have to share it beforehand with everyone anyway!

If the first Grandchild was named after him anyway, I'm sure he won't be disappointed! He'll probably just be happy having another Grandson!! Maybe he's just asking to ask.

I think it sounds like a good idea to keep it a secret...DH and I couldn't help but shout our LO's name from the rooftops

Ahhhhh..the name delimma. We have the same problem!!! Not just their names..but, they are suggesting other names too! We also have decided to keep the name a secret. You are the parent, and you name your baby. That's just the way it is. I know...it's a toughie.
