Congrats on your blue bump! We're keeping the gender a secret from everyone else except on here! Our folks know what names we like, there's only 2 girls and 1 boys, so they know baby won't have a family 1st name, but we'll do middle names, so we're thinking our little girl will have either my mum's or aunt's name a a middle name, we're undecided yet. I think your doing the right thing, as you say everyone will be concentrated on his safe arrival not his name! And as someone else said, he already has a grandson named after him, I think it's a bit over bearing to expect his great grandson to have his name too, what about your fathers!

im sure he be happy its being named after his son ( is grandpa father to ur dad or mum?)

He has one Grandson named after him! I think that's enough

I am Middle Eastern and DH is English/British and so baby will have a totally different surname to my Dad. In my family the eldest son names their baby boy after the Dad because they will have the same first name and last name. So my Grandfather has one grandson named after him (not my brother because my parents had him later) and he has the same surname.

Two cousin would then have the same name which would just be confusing! I think even culturally you would be covered
