lots of heartburn = a hairy baby?

hey girls,

just seeing if anyone can clear up this issue for me.. a few people that i have mentioned to now that im getting a lot of heartburn have come straight back with "ooohh that's a sign that your baby will have a lot of hair!" where do they get that from???? its a bit bizarre i think.. any truth in it?x

nope i had mega heartburn and he wasnt hairy at all, we couldnt even get a lock of hair from him

i think its an old wives tale but i started to get heartburn a few weeks ago n according to my baby book that was about when the baby starts to get hair on their head...might be a coincidence but who knws lol x

Yeah, I have heard it too. It's an old wives tale. My mum had alot of heartburn when she was pregnany with me and apparantly I had no hair until I was about 18 months!! Although........ my hair is really thick now!?!?

Old wives tale :-) My mother had tons of heart burn when pregnant for me and I had such fine hair I was bald at birth and didn't have much on my head until I was 2 years old!

apparently it's not an old wives tale. Ive read studies that say there is truth to it. You should be able to find them in a google search

Yep, old wives tale, however I guess there are new studies that are linking them together. Crazy!
