We were lucky, had saved up half the money and than someone gave us some money so we put part of that towards the scan as well.

I think it varies according tot he package you have - mines £65 for a basic 20min scan and a couple of pics. No DVD etc. but you can upgrade.

Do i book it thru my midwife or local hospital or is it a specialist clinic? Sorry for all the questions, i was being niave and thought it was just as standard. silly me for thinking we would get it free with the NHS ! ha ha ha

Get Googling!! Its totally private although your midwife may know somewhere she might not be allowed to plug them!!

I just googled 3D 4D ultrasounds and added my town or the county.

My scan is £250 & that includes:
  • 30 min ultrasound
  • sex determination (if required)
  • dvd of scan
  • cd-rom with JPEG and video clips for email/PC use
  • A4 colour photos of baby

I am in Northern Ireland & there are only 3 places that do them in the whole country thats why it is so expensive!!

At the price elles..........wow

Mine is $160 Canadian, get an hour dvd plus a cd with pictures
