as some of you may know,
when i had my last midwife apointment(friday 4th) she found trace of protein and blood in my urine so she asked me to do another urine sample and drop it off at the doctors surgery on the monday to get it sent off to the hospital to have it checked.
so last monday i done a urine sample and took it to the doctors surgery to get it sent off to hospital and i was told by the midwife the results will be in in about 3 days, she said if the doctor surgey doesnt call me with the results i should call them so i called the doctors surgery just now as i havnt had a call from them and they dont have any results for me.
so i said well they should be in by now,shouldnt they?
and the woman on the phone said they should of been here by now but they dont have any results for me on the computer and she couldnt help me anymore.

the midwife wanted me to send a urine sample off as i might of had an infection but now its been over a week and i still dont know if i have an infection.

AARRHH why does this always happen to me.

I dont think it's you hun I think you have crappy doctors surely they could give the lab a quick ring to chase up the results or ask you for another sample if they have lost results. Get back on the phone & tell them you are not happy in case you have an infection. Good luck

That must be frustrating. I hope everything goes alright. I'm sure if it was something bad they would tell you right away.

I've been waiting over a week for mine too. Going to ask my midwife today as reception at the doctors wouldn't f*ckin tell me!

they are all bloody useless.

im now out of credit on my phone as she had me on hold for ages.
i would of thought they wuld of called if anything was wrong but if they have lost them then they wont.

i dont have any sign of an infection but still its not the case is it.

i havnt got the midwife for another 3ish weeks but ill have to book for another apointment so i can get checked again.

I got an emergency appointment on thursday to my GP..he done a urine test there and then and told me while i was there..i had the same as u blood and protein showing..he gave me a prescription for antibiotics whilst i was there...so dont know what this whole week wait thing is there trying with u :S x

can they just tell you there and then if you have an infection then.
if midwife says i have an infection can she prescribe antibiotics or is it just the doctor?
