Counting kicks?

When do I need to start counting kicks? I am starting to feel movement everyday and several kicks at a time. Should I start now?

I asked my m/w this the other day and she said around 27 weeks.

I've not had any actual experience though.

xx

I've seen some things recommend 26 weeks where others recommend 28.

If I remember it was around 26/27 weeks that my doctor told me to start counting with my daughter

I went on and began counting them about a week ago. She is usually really active in the morning and at night which is when i count. I know it is a little early still so if she has had a quiet day I try** to not worry.

Just that I think generally after those dates the babies are big enough that they can't hide as much. When they are smaller the kicking is just less reliable. No reason not to do it now I guess.

To make sure the baby is ok. Lack of movement further on can indicate serious problems.
