SPD

Does anyone have it? I'm nearly 24 weeks and it seems to be getting worse and worse. Last night I only managed half hour sleep
I phoned the hospital and spoke to a midwife there and she said they only person who can help me is my gp... I saw him about this problem at 18 weeks and he basically told me "its part of pregnancy, you just have to deal with it and put up with it".
I don't see my midwife at the gp now until the 28th, and can't have any more time of work.
My job involves sitting down at a desk all day... with various trips up and down stairs to the loo. Then its a half hour walk to work in a morning, then a half hour walk back.
We move house on the 26th so I'm desperately trying to get a tiny bit of packing done each day... but its so hard as bending, lifting, sitting, standing, twisting... well everything I do really... makes the pain worse.
I can no longer get comfy in bed no matter what I do!! It's driving me mad I want to enjoy my pregnancy
Any advice or anyone reassure me its not just me going throught this? x

hi hun,

i know how you feel, over the past 2 weeks ive had severe back/pelvic and right buttock cheek pain, i went to the doctors today and she has said tommy is lying in a strange position and back to back which is causing me so much pain...she has signed me off and said to get lots of rest, try hot water bottles and just relax (which is easier said than done when your dying for a nights sleep)!!

hope you feel better soon... can you not go back to the docs and explain how much pain you are in and the situation re work etc?

h x

Tbh my doctor is useless! If I take time off to go and see him, it has to be unpaid. And then he will probably just tell me to "deal with it" again.
Grrr!
