advice please ladies

Im a bit worried.... I was at Dr's yesterday and am now so confused and scared its unreal.... first thing i should say is baby (15+3) has a strong heartbeat but apparently i seem to be contracting...it just feels like light cramps.

After this happened at 9 weeks along with some spotting i was given mebeverine and that seemed to do the trick. i went to doc yesterday as the cramps were back with a vengance.... she started talking about premature babies, and stopping contracting, and getting some form of stitch... i should have paid more attention but after biting my lip so hard it bled i couldnt fight back the tears any longer and hormones took over and the flood gates opened.

i was on my own so there was nobody to do the listening for me, i am being transferred to a bigger hospital in the closest city for test etc, apparently they think i may have something as simple as an infection so have taken swabs and samples. The Dr mentioned checking my kidneys....

basically after all that i just wondered if anyone has had anything similar? and if anyone has any idea what kind of test they will be doing? how they check my kidneys? and anymore about this stitch they might give me?

any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks all xx

I didn't want to read and run but I have never experienced this so I don't know. I am guessing the stitch is for your cervix to keep it closed.
Sorry I am of no help.
All the best hun

Im so sorry you are going through this alone. I havent any experience of this either so dont really know what will be happening.
A friend of mine had something similar and I believe she had meds, had to stay rested for a few weeks and gave birth at around 30 weeks.
To test you kidneys they can do a blood test to check they are functioning correctly. Im a vet nurse and I know humans are different but a blood test would check that they are working and if they are then great and if not they may want to ultrasound them.
I hope you feel better soon. Keep us updated.
xxx

All I know is that they put a stitch in your cervix if they think its incompetant but I have not experienced this myself. I can understand why you are so scared, I'm sure everything will work out fine, be strong xxxxx
