not doing ante natal classes?

I'm thinking about not doing the classes, for the following reasons:

1 - i'm hoping for a planned c section so am not wanting to spend time and money going over labour
2 - if I do go into labour early and need to push baby out I think I'd rather just rely on my body to do what comes naturally rather than be feeling guilty that I'm getting my breathing wrong etc.
I'm sure when it comes down to it my body will naturally know what to do..
3 - I'm lazy and they take 2 hours every week for 5 weeks or something...seems a waste of time to me.
4 - After my c section I'll be in private hospital for 4 or 5 days anyway - surely the nurses will have time to teach me the basics of baby care?!

Anyone else thinking like me?
Have I got it all wrong do you think?

I didn't do any ante-natal with my son. I was 17 and my midwifes had already been very judgemental and I felt horrible and useless. So I wasn't in the mood for any more possible judgments.

Midwifes show you how to bath and hold bottles etc etc etc in the hospital and encourage you to do it with their supervision.

I wont be doing it again this time as my son is only 2 1/2 so I'm pretty sure it's still fresh in my mind.

You do what you feel is right for you hun.

i didnt go to any antenatal classes when having both my kids or with this one either.

i think its abit pointless to be honest.it nice to make new friends at the classes but you cant control what your bodys going to do in labor! it all comes naturally!

Also, you can go to baby classes after (to meet other mums) and get so much more out of it for your money!

I made the decision with my first not to go. First, with owning our own business, I knew my OH wouldn't make some appointments. Secondly, women have been giving birth for ages and when it came to that time, I was sure that my body would know what to do.

It would have been a waste of time anyhow because I ended up having C-sections with my first children, and will with this baby.

I have no idea...It honestly doesn't sound too apealing to me.
We have these Lamaze classes here in us that are sooo popular, but I hate to go somewhere where I would feel incredibly stupid, and people would constantly tell me what do do and to relaaaaaax and to breaaaaaath...ugh...
