Water Infection, Possible Miscarriage & Scan

Hi
Not sure if many of you read my post on saturday about me having a 'water infection'? well i've been taking my antibiotics and the pains got worse so I called the out of hours doctors again and went back last night to a different doctor who told me I did not have a water infection as my water was clear (the doctor on saturday sid there was blood and bacteria in it however did not show me like the doctor last night did).
He felt my appendix, bladder, bowl etc and said they were all fine then the just sat there are said 'now whether you are going to miscarry or not i wouldn't like to say'!!!!!! well i nearly fell off my chair. he then went onto say there is nothing he can do to prevent it and nothing he cant do if that is the case, we was just to go home and wait and keep our fingers crossed.

well sitting at home and waiting didn't really seem like an option so I texted everyone i knew who had been pregnant within something like the last 3 years to see if they had a doppler, one of my friends did but said it wasn't v good before 20 weeks so I thought best to leave it than to worry myself more. Another friend advisedme to call the hospital which I did and I spoke to the most lovely lady in the world she advised me what he had said was right there is nothing they can do and as I am over 12 weeks I'm to far gone for EPAU but not far enough for the baby to be viable! so its a waiting game. OH went mad and could not understand hoe they can do this. I partly understood but am still terrified.

The main thing I am concerned about is we 'googled' which i know we shouldn't my symptoms and it came up about miscarriages within the 2nd tri can be from a week cervix. When I was 19 I had an abnormal smear CIN III and severe and had to have 1/3 of my cervix removed during a LLETZ operation - Has anyone else had this done? Now when I had this done I was advised if I was to ever decide to have children there may be need for a stitch. I mentioned this to my midwife at my booking appt and she said they never know ... you just have to waitand see??

I'm sorry this post has been so long but and just want to know if anything like ths has happened to anyone and they have continued to have a healthy rest of thier pregnancy. I dont even know if I've posted in the right section.

I have called my midwife and left an urgent message at 8.30am but still no call back!!! so I am going to manchester at 3.15 for an emergency private scan. Please all keep your finger crossed for us. I for one have never been so sceared about anything in mylife!

Laura x

This sounds dreadful. I can't believe that they have made you worry so much, and not given you any answers. I can't offer any advice, but I wanted to know that I'm thinking of you. Hope the scan goes well this afternoon. Let us know how you get on.

So sorry to hear that you are going through all this stress. I do know that if you have a weak cervix, they can insert something called a Shrodkar Suture. This works a bit like a sling and tightens your cervix a bit. It is then removed when you are ready to deliver. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure at what stage this can be done. But if it is later on, at least you know that this could be an option, just to put your mind at rest.
I hope everything goes well for you hun, I have my fingers and everything else crossed for you!!

Awful that no one wants to see you at the hospital. Surely someone is responsible for you between 12/20 weeks. Sending you lots of luck and best wishes for your appointment

I hope everything is okay and you get some good news at your scan, it must be awfully worrying for you, I hope you have someone that can comfort you and keep your mind off things for now.
