Question

Change in.. *erm* urination

I was just wondering if this is normal, I'd assumed it was and hadn't bothered to ask anybody, but just wondering if I should be concerned. Since falling pregnant almost 6 months ago, there's been an.. erm.. 'change' in urination. Don't read if offended easily. You know that muscle that you can use to push pee out if you want to pee fast or are in a rush? Since I got pregnant it feels like there's something in the way of that muscle, I can still push it out a little but not nearly as hard as I was able to before. Any thoughts on this?

maybe something swollen?
I know all sorts of bits and pieces of me are taking on new found shapes.I am assuming it's the extra blood.

I also find the msucles arent as strong as they used to be.....a sudden sneeze or burst of laughter and I've got to be "careful" if you get what I mean....doh! Doc said that was normal - "it can happen" were his exact words. Grreat, and it happened to me...pft.

I think it's why people do their pelvic floor excercises. reminds me..i must work these out!..

I have this too! I have to lean forward on the toilet to let my wee come out and I just thought I was mad lol! I think its becuase your uterus is pressing on your bladder and when I lean forward it relieves some of the pressure allowing the urine to pass more freely lol.

I also find that all my wee doesnt come out at one time, I feel like im done then 20 mins later I need another wee, iv found this a problem during sex! I go for a wee before but last week I had to jump off half way through becuase I needed to wee right then!

the joys of rpegnancy! Oh and my friend has reminded me of the importance of pelvic floor exercises especially with baby number 2! And I still cant be bothered with them, I forget! is that bad ? lol

Oh the joys of being pregnant! Tinytoes, I hear what you're saying, I sneezed and was wearing spandex WHITE pants. BAAAAD idea. Might have to resort to wearing some sort of liners from here on out! + Being pregnant I thought we were getting away from all that.

I've noticed the same at times, depending on how the baby's lying. Sometimes I sit there forever and only manage to get a little out, yet when I stand up I still feel like I need to go

I'm so glad you posted this. I have noticed it more and more in the last few months. Not to be gross, but to me I feel like what a man with an enlarged prostate sounds like (sorry...I work in the healthcare field and have heard this more than I would like). Normally, I just wee and it's over with. Now, I wee...it stops...it trickles...it stops...it trickles...you get the picture. I can't figure it out. I've just assumed it's baby sitting on something and blocking the flow

About the leaning forward thing Lauz - I get that as well. I assumed, like you, it was the pressure of the uterus on the bladder.
