We're going to use cloth nappies, apart from maybe the first wk when his/her system is clearing out. Not sure what brand to use, or how many I need, but going to do some research today!

I have bought some Bumgenius 'Flips' which are an outer waterproof fabric pant (bright blue, green and pink!), with a cloth insert. They are birth-to-potty adjustable ones. I wasn't going to buy yet but they are on 2 for 1 at most places at the moment, and I didn't want to miss the deal. You can get microfibre, cotton and eco-friendly disposable inserts for them. I got one cotton and one microfibre to have a look at, they seemed really good so I bought some more.

I have also got 5 Close Parent Pop-Ins with an extra night booster as they are meant to be really absorbent for nights or long journeys. They are birth-to-potty too.

For use right away I am going to get a couple of newborn size tots bots wraps, some nappy nippa closures and then just use muslin cloths with a disposable liner. I had this recommended to me for the first couple of weeks as you can fold the muslins to the perfect size, so if they are still a bit small for the birth-to-potty sizes (8lb+) then you don't get leaks.

And I have just spotted Potion nappy cleaning liquid from Tots Bots which allows you to wash at 30 rather than 60. The cleaning agents in it activate at lower temps than normal, which is making me feel even more eco-friendly!

I am also going to keep some disposables on hand...definitely use them at the beginning until I get used to things/have a routine, then will probably also use them if we are going out somewhere for a long period of time.
