antenatal classes.


At what stage of pregnancy should you goto antenatal classes?

Does anyone know of any antenatal classes in the penzance, cornwall area?

Have you looked at the NCT classes in your area?

I start mine in May - if i have it before i'll probably forget everything by the time LO arrives

Price Band A - Standard Antenatal (please refer to NCT pricing policy)
This is a standard NCT antenatal course covering preparation for labour and birth, feeding, and early parenthood. The sessions will take place in Newlyn. The course is open to all parents expecting a new baby, and is ideal for those expecting their babies in August and September. Our classes are designed for couples, but many people attend on their own or with a friend, relative or birth partner. Subjects covered will usually include: · Pregnancy and birth choices· Choosing where to have your baby· Body awareness, relaxation, breathing and massage· Home births and water births· What happens in labour and how the baby is born· Pain relief - natural and medical methods· Your labour and the role of the partner in labour· What complications might arise – eg Caesarean birth· Looking after a newborn and feeding your baby· Early parenting, lifestyle changes Concessions are available for places on this course; please enquire in confidence about these. My midwife said that classes noramlly start when you are 30 weeks, but I guess that depends on how they do the classes in your area and how over how many weeks the course is spread.

i have got mine the end of march so will be about 30weeks. i am doing mine through my local childrens centre.

I'll be about 30 wks I think, I'm doing some through the NHS (have you tried your maternity unit?), the midwife should talk to you about them. I'm also doing NCT ones too, 2 full days.
