Trust me, there's so much more to look forward to after you find out the sex, it just makes it so much more realistic! I love knowing.

I was so looking forward to my 16 week gender scan on tuesday but babybond in glasgow cancelled as sonographer was ill!!! Have to wait til next thursday now boo!!! I am sooo excited to find out sex of baby xx

im just wondering but when we have our scan at 20 weeks can we ask then if its a boy or girl or will they not be able to tell ....i would hate to spend 70 quid i must admt when we are nerli 17 weeks i can wait till 20 im sure

omg i just cant wait til my scan on saturday. im also hoping for a girl. i know thats shocking but i just seem to be convinced that im having a girl. i look at pink clothes, pink bedding etc!!! i hope i dont react badly. im so awful xx

Yes you can ask at the 20 week scan although I know that some hospitals have a policy where they won't tell you at all in case they get it wrong. I was concerned because I know that they aren't really interested in telling you the sex, the scan is for medical reasons, not pleasure so they will look and tell you if they can but if baby isn't cooperating with legs closed or something then they don't really care whether they can tell you or not!!

4 weeks seems like a lifetime to me at the mo so I needed something to look forward to otherwise I would have got really depressed. Plus my '12 week' scan was at 13 & 6 and my "20 week scan" is going to be at 22 weeks so it's even longer to wait! I think I am just too impatient!

im 50/50 but i really hope its a boy....but thats why i want to know so if its a girl i will have time to get used to the idea

Scotsgirl, I think I have a boy, although I think my scan pic looks like a girl, but I naturally look at girl stuff too - I don't even realise I'm doing it!

Lol Zolwis they are rubbish at my hospital - my "12 week" scan was supposed to be at 12 weeks, then they made it 12 & 5, then 13 & 6. I was so upset! Then I got there and the doctor gave me a bit of an evil and was like 'Oh, it's so much easier for us to see if you come in at 12 weeks, not 13 & 6 - it makes our job harder'. WTF?! As if I have any say in the matter! My "20 week" scan will probably end up being at 30 weeks or something!

I really think I'm having a boy too... I will need time to adjust if it is! I have all my girls names picked out but haven't even considered boys names! Why do you think you are havin a boy? I have done all the tests online and they all say 80% boy

lol I have no idea why I think it's a boy - just weird signs.

Going on myths and tales and stuff, I've had no morning sickness, the Chinese calender thingy says boy, and with the other tests I sometimes get boy, sometimes girl.

The other day, I picked up a leaflet with a pic of a woman and her bump and on the bump were post it notes with baby names on. The ONLY two names I like for a boy were both there, next to each other! No girls names though! OHHH YEAAHH and to top it off last night I had a weird dream;
The baby was born (supposedly I gave birth, although I didn't know the sex), then I went home from the hospital but the baby stayed there. Later my mum told me we have to collect the baby from the hospital. So we got up there, and it was a boy!! Had nothing ready for the baby - no car seat, no buggy, no changing mat or nappies or cream or wipes! Oh, and it came early - MARCH and I was due in July (although in the dream this seemed to be nothing to worry about and the baby was classed as early but not premature!?!). Just weird.

My mum thinks it's a boy, in nearly all other past dreams I had a boy, my husband really wants a boy, my cousin and my husband's cousin have had girls so far this year so the odds are pointing towards boy for me!
