Yeast Infection and home remedies

I was wondering if any one who is suffering/has suffered from YI and tried any home remedies to cure it.
I never had YI in my life before getting preggo and never knew its so disgusting

. I read online that garlic clove inserted in to your vagina while sleeping in night helps. I know it's grose but atleast its chemical free

I have tried this for last two nights and it seemed to have helped.
I could use some other tips from you all!

My mum has said for years that live yoghurt is good. Both eaten and spread on the affected area, as it cools and soothes. I've done this in the past, and it works. Also, you should eat live yoghurt at any point when you're taking antibiotics, as they kill off the good bacteria (including down below, which means you can actually develop a YI), and the yoghurt helps replace it.

Have you spoken to your MW though? Perhaps you can use a pessary, but I'm not sure.

Lara, thanks for replying. Where and how should i apply yogurt? I mean internally in vagina/externally to vulva or both?
I talked to my OB and all I got was a prescription suppository that I have sitting in my shelf but don't want to start using it till I have tried the natural ways.
