LMAO!!! Lizzie has it right.
I wouldn't be shy about asking my gynae about it. I used to be.

But I remember being wheeled into the theater when I went for my d&c. I was propped onto the operating table still waiting for the gynae to arrive. All the nurses about me doing their thing. I was wearing nothing but a flimsy hospital gown that was WAAAY too big for me and NO underwear. There I was staring at these 3 massive lights all pointed towards my legs. And ontop of that my feet were facing the doors which had a window in them so any Tom, Dick or Harry that walked past while I was under.... OMG! I really am so glad they put me under for that. Needless to say... after that day I really am no longer embarrassed about anything down there.

I'm sure it normal but just be careful because I spoke to my midwife about the same problem and she checked me to make sure it wasn't a varocous vein!!!
Grose I know who thought you could get them down there!!!

Thankfully it was all clear lol!!

righto, ok ladies thats it...I'm going to make sure I'm preened and ready for an inspection when I see my obst tomorrow.
I'll be brave and mention it to him!!

its daft as I've seen so many gynocologists over the last few years for various things but I've suddenly gone shy. But i dont like the idea of those varicose veins...gosh no...OK, I'll do it!

The bluish discoloration is called Chadwicks sign, and yes is due to venous congestion. The swelling is also due to the venous congestion.

Oh yes, my bits are fuller as well, and seems to have become more so as my pregnancy progressed. My DH noticed this way before I did.
