Sleeping on tummy?

I realized how nobody sleeps on their tummy, seemingly, but me! Is this because it's unsafe for LO, or is it just uncomfortable?

I used to only be able to sleep on my tummy before I was pregnant, now I am slowly training myself to stay on my side... but I do wake up on my belly quite often... I was told by my doc that is isnt unsafe so much as uncomfortable. Pretty soon you wont be able to.

I sometimes roll over onto my stomach in my sleep. Can't imagine it'll cause any harm before causing you discomfort.

So glad you posted this as I still sleep on my stomach at times. I wake up and find I have moved back there and sometimes the only comfortable way to sleep is half on my side, half on my stomach with my leg raised. It is not uncomfortable but I am worrying that I am causing him damage?? Glad I am not the only one to worry about it!

i tend to wake up leaning on my tummy ratehr than laying on it - like i started on teh side and flopped forward!

I can feel baby kicking mroe when i lean on belly. not sure if he is kicking more - as if to say "oi Mum MOVE!" - or if it just makes me feel it more.
either way, it's not as comfy and the little man tends to keep me more awake. It's the same laying on my back.

Doc told me to try and sleep on my left so so be it.

I always used to sleep on my tummy,I couldn't sleep otherwise...but now I just feel very uncomfortable so I started sleeping on my side or on my back.it takes time to get used to...But it's not unsafe to sleep on your tummy...

I sleep on my side and I bring one knee up so I'm leaning on my knee and a little on my tummy and the other leg just lies straight like normal. This position is comfortable for me, but warn your OH's if you try it as it pushes ya bum out and takes up more bed!

I also feel baby move alot on this position because I'm slightly lying on my tummy.
