If you're not in a union you should talk to citizens advice. I am almost certain that they cant make you redundant when you are pregnant. I went though redundancy about 6 yrs ago and my boss was pregnant and she was projected until after her maternity.

My best friend sucessfully challenged her employers who sneakily tried to make her redundant and got an out of court settlement - it was quite stressfull and I think they banked on her caving due to stress and hormones but she was stong and won.

Seriously, check it out before they try pull a fast one.

little update for you....

I HAVE HAD NO LETTER....so i think im ok, if they make me redundant now it will be pants but i will still qualify for my smp for the full 39 weeks as i have worked for my employer the right amount of time....
if any of you are confused or unsure of your calculations please go on here...it works it all out for you...http://smpcalculator.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/SMP1.aspx

I have been signed off again for another 4 weeks taking me up to my holiday that had been booked due to my bp and also my hip/pelvis problem so money is tight and oh still hasnt sorted a job out but im just thinking things will work out.. it wil HAVE to..there are so mnay people that are worse off in this world and realsiticly i am in a priviledged position being pregnant in the first place and having a beautiful 6yr old little girl...im just gonna try and stay positive even if i did tread in doggy poop this mornin yuk
