I used to have my left nipple pierced when i was younger for about six years i've got an appointment with my midwife tommorow and was gonna see her about what effects it will have on my ability to Breast feed and thought i'd drop it in as a thread and see what you all think to be honest i'd forgotten all about it until now considering it used to be one of my favourite things. How times change

I know i forget i have it. Glad you reminded me best ask me midwife at next appointment. If you find out before me let me know what yours says. :-)

hey same here but then i took mine out last year but its still noticable that i had it done.... ive not thought to mention it... lol

I had a nipple pierced, took it out about a year ago, never thought to mention it to my midwife! If they arent pierced any more I doubt it would have too much effect...not 100% sure though. Im leaking milk a lot at the moment and it comes out equally on both sides...so hopefully it has no effect whatsoever!

I took my nipple piercing out early on in my 1st tri, cos it was starting to get bigger and hurt. Now it looks like my nipple has ears! lol It has healed up tho so I would presume it´ll be ok.

I considered a nipple ring a year or so back. Before we decided to start a family.
As soon as the thought of baby and breastfeeding came to mind I decided against it.
Always had this image of the baby getting milk sprayed up their nose or in their eye
