I think if it's healed up breast feeding isn't a problem. But my friend took hers out whilst pregnant and they told her very unlikely she would be able to and she couldn't.

Hope you can though, something I'll never get to do is BF.

Hey,

Just got back from midwife appointment and she said she is unsure she asked if it had healed up okay and she said if there is no damage to the ducts it should be fine but we won't find out until we try, so not to worry about it just yet. Got to hear bumps heartbeat and recorded it on my phone for hubby it was pretty amazing and really fast.

I spotted this thread so popped in from 1st tri. I have done a bit of research on this as I had both done and really want to breast feed, the conclusion I have is that it is fine. I have spoke to people who have breast fed while nipples still pierced as long as you take the bar/ring out every time (may as well just leave it out) not a problem. I have also spoke to my midwife who has said the same. Hope this helps x

I've never had a nipple pierced personally but when my friend was pregnant she took her bar out and on a night out she showed me how she could squirt milk (colostrum?this was before she had given birth) in all directions. Was hilarious and I'm sure she breastfed. Is a while ago now tho.
