Hello, heartburn!

I'm 25 weeks along, and in the last week have started noticing heartburn on a fairly regular basis--especially when I wake up in the middle of the night! Last night I ate a piece of toast and peanut butter about a half hour before bed, and sure enough, 3 hours later was awake needing to prop myself up on pillows. Over a piece of toast! Anybody else at this stage starting to develop this?

I can relate to heartburn. I am hungry, I get heartburn. I eat, I get heartburn.

Can't win lately!

i've been getting heartburn in the middle of the night too. it's awful, i wake up feeling like i am having a heart attack. the best remedy i've found is mylanta liquid and sleeping slightly propped up. i sympathise, heartburn is incredibly uncomfortable.

Gaviscon liquid is fab ( I drink it like juice, at night ).
Put something underthe head end of your bed too, to raise it slightly, stops the reflux then. Bricks are best if you find a few. You only have to raise it slightly... not so you're sliding out the bottom of the bed

try a glass of cold milk. Hearburn cripples me sometimes but milk always does the trick. I can't stand the taste of heartburn medicines!

Same as leeanne here, it's the oddest feeling being hungry and having heartburn at the same time Talked to my OB about it and she said I could use Rolaids or Tums as needed
