This is driving me nuts and getting worse!!

Hi ladies, I could do with a bit of advice please!

Since about week 10, I've had cold symptoms - blocked up constantly and a sore nose through all the blowing (sorry TMI )

It seems to be getting worse and I think it's turning into a full blown cold. Honestly if i'm not up at night for another loo trip, i'm up to blow my nose!

This is driving me insane! I think it's just a pregnancy 'thing' but I really need some advice on how to ease things!

xx xx

Unfortunately having a stuffy nose (and the reverse a runny nose) is quite common during pregnancy! I'm the same and was told if it gets to bad that there are meds they can give me (I have allergies as well though to my cats so that aggravates the situation). I stayed away from the meds but have found that sleeping with more pillows helps (seems to help the drainage for some reason if my head is propped up more).

Thanks Vickie, I'll try using another pillow. It's been constant since really early on, was hoping it would get better but apparently not!

I have a cat too and never been allergic (is this something that can develop?)

It is something that can develop, but I think it's more likely that it's pregnancy that is doing it to you. I got it in the first trimester and it hasn't really gone away since. I've heard that once you have the baby though it clears right up
