| Shame! I'd do what you're trying to do. Get hold of your Midwife or a GP. Anyone. They'll at least be able to help you.
I've also not had chicken pox. I'm really hoping I dont get exposed to it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | If you had chicken pox when you were little you wont come to much harm. I walk told that it often doesn't pass to the baby and can be completely harmless. I know there is a blood test you can have if you've never had chicken pox. Keep trying to get through to your MW if you're worried. A bit of reasurance goes a long way. Failing that if you are beyond worried, contact your GP. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | okay on the positive side, you have passed the first tri where exposure would be most dangerous according to what i know. on the negative side its true that because you have never had chicken pox you are more likely to get it if exposed but not 100% likely. Because you are sure you have been exposed to it while he was still contagious i would go see the gp or midwife. they are probably not going to do anything as ure in the second tri but they might give u a shot if they think its safe. we have had a few cases of measels here and i asked the nurse about it because im not immune, she said if i was exposed and knew 100% i was exposed they would give me a special shot that is safe during pregnancy. try not to freak out. just make sure you get medical advice so that you have peace of mind and so that if you do need some kind of shot you get it as soon as u can. this is something i def wouldnt leave. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Maybe you had them but you didn't know,my sister just had one chicken pox when she was a little girl and it was on the top of her head.
But go ring your midwife and she'll tell you what to do next.Good luck! | | | | Status: Offline

| I was in contact with chicken pox, call your antel-natal unit they will make you an apt asap to have blood taken, just to check immunity, if your not immune its jsut a case of an injection, but if you have had it before you should be fine but have to get checked out incase xxxxx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I know how you feel - my Collegue rang me on a Saturday to say she'd come down with Hand, Foot and Mouth. Apparently, that's not known to be harmful, but that didn't stop me crying all the way to my mum's and getting her to ring all her doctor mates (very useful)!
Try not to panic and ring your m/w or GP. Are you in the UK, you could maybe ring NHS direct and they may calm you until you get through to your midwife. | | | | Status: Offline
