green tea?

are we allowed this during pregnancy? i was at a japanese restaurant the other day and knew all the foods to avoid, but had no idea whether i could drink the green tea or not...

To be honest im not 100% -some say it contains very little caffeine, whereas some doctors say it contains more caffeine then coffee does

Green tea is fine. As with regular tea and coffee you should limit the amount you drink. Although it is almost 100% caffeine free i have read somewhere (sorry can't remember where!) that excessive amounts of green tea can affect the body's ability to absorb some nutrients, but as long as you're not drinking it by the bucket load you'll be fine. Personally i tend to have a cup of green/white or fruit tea everyday at some point.

sounds good. it was free so was a bit annoying i couldn't drink it, ha. still, my hot organic ginger drink did the trick
