| Mum (Mom) BnB Addict  Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 8,498 | We used a medela mini electric pump and it was FAB!!! Easy to use, easy to clean and quick! We had a manual pump too but I preferred to have a free hand and caught up on email etc whilst I pumped! We found the Boots breastmilk storage bags the best priced ones and pumped into the bottle then poured into the bag - I couldnt get on with pumping direct to the bag and seemed to spill quite often  Invest in a tube of LANSINOH too cos it will help if baby doesnt latch on as well as he/she might in the early days. You will be amazed how much you are able to pump if you do it regularly! I always pumped in the morning as I found my supply was least affected this way and it gave me ten minutes peace before everyone else got up! |
