Porridge with linseeds sprinkled into it works. Linseeds on anything.

came accross this accidentally - my craving has been for celery and salad cream. i was suffereing really badly with constipation and about 2 days after i started having 3 sticks of celery a day it all started to "happen" so to speak. assuming it was the celery coz i wasn't eating anything different

hope that it works for you too

Lactulose. Can get it prescribed (free) or can buy it over the counter. Just check with the pharmicist that it is ok for you personally.
Tastes like gloopy brown sugar. Bleugh

Shouldn't do if you follow the instructions. Its not normally one of those 'OMG I need to go to the loo NOW' ones either.

Basically the sugaryness makes more water enter the large intestine and makes the poo less rock hard and more normal consistancy. Easier to pass.
