I swear by Milk of Magnesia...as does my mum...as did her mum...

You can pick it up in any pharmacy or supermarket. Blue and white bottle

Eat yogurt daily, and of course "an apple a day..."
But if you're already suffering from it, I know there are some herbal teas that give relief, licorice tea being one of them, but you'd have to check the rest of the ingredients to make sure they were okay for pregnant women, since herbal teas aren't regulated.

I second dried apricots and prunes, or dried fruit in general. I actually have to avoid it, because it really works my tummy!!!

Either a big bowl of all bran in the morning, yucky I know, or my fave, 2 weetabix in the morning and one before bed.
Don't forget to drink LOADS of water (not squash) throughout the day.
Cut down on bread / pasta / rice - these will add to the problem.
You wont see an immediate result with the cereal but I promise you, after a week of discipline you will notice the difference...!

As an avid sufferer my cure is definitely lactulose - takes aobut 2 days to kick in but when it does, it's such a relief. Stay away from senna as it's a bit 'rough'. Pear juice also does it, drinking lots of water and just getting as much fruit/veggies in you as possible.

I also found a few sips of wine sometimes does it too!

Linseeds are also known as flax seeds. Those in porridge/oatmeal will probably help.
I don't know where I'd be without my fiber I drink every day. I eat tons of fruit as well (something like 4-5 pieces at least) and vegetables and yogurt and drink 3 liters of water and still suffer...so yeah.
