I'm Currently Feeling: | 20 week scan Hi Everyone!
Here goes my first question lol
When I went for my 12 weeks scan on Wednesday they automatically booked me in for my 20 wk one on the 13th May at 12pm... which is fine. (I also have a private anomoly & sexing scan on the 10th has anyone else had one of these?)
This morning I have recieved a letter from the hospital advising I have another appointment on the 13th May at 12.30 which is my first Antenatal appointment to discuss all my test results so far.
What I want to know is, is this appointment because something is wrong with one of my tests or is it just routine??
I WORRY TOO MUCH I KNOW
xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | hi ya,
glad all went well for your first scan, i had a provate scan and it was fab!!! seemed to get so many clearer pictures and views it was truly amazing...they are very indepth and its nice to know if your a pink or blue team member...
with your second appt this was the same as mine, i had my scan first if memory serves me right then they went through all the measurements and my blood test results and staring doing my growth chart....
if your at all unsure just give your midwife a ring or ask her when you next see her but it sounds like your having a lovely pregnancy!!
congrats

I'm Currently Feeling: | Same here. I went for my scan than immediately went to my OB's office. They confirmed the results of my scan and told me that everything looked good. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Enjoy your scans!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would call the hospital up and check the appointment is just routine and tell them about the private scan - if there is anything wrong with your test results, you should know before you go for your scan.
Every hospital does things differently - but down here your test results are left to your midwife. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It sounds as though it's a routine appointment.
I am still so amazed at the fact that they send you letters about such things. Such a different situation then here in Canada. I can see how many could get worried when they receive a letter like you did, or didn't receive a letter about their next scan. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah.. lucky you for getting your appointment for your 20 week scan booked straight away !!
Sounds like it's probably just a routine appointment.. but they should be able to tell you over the phone what the app's for, especially if you tell them you're worried |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You shouldn't worry,they'll just confirm your results.It's a routine thing.
But if you call them I'm sure they'll tell you what it is for so that should put your mind at ease...Good luck with your scans...xxx |

| Hi, every hospital does things differently so i really wouldnt worry! i have my 20 week scan already booked but as for my test results i got them all through the post!!! ( about 3 different letters!)- which they still managed to send to the wrong address!!!
If you have a 16 week appointment with your midwife then talk to her about it then, take care and relax!!! xx |
