it can be nice to recognise some of the staff too when you do go in to have your little ones. i asked for a tour here as i didnt have DD1 here. the lady who showed us round actually ran the whole labour delivery bit and was lovely. she looked after me at times when i had DD2, and when my baby ended up in SCBU this particular lady was a fab support. it was really nice to have a face i knew to smile at and smile back etc.

Im not going to any. I went last time and I found them a complete waste of time. I dont know if they have changed since I last went all those years ago but still, I dont think I`ll bother!

I'm not having the NHS ones (they are offered but my midwife advised me otherwise) but will be doing the standard course of NCT ones which will be about £200.

My uncle and his wife had a baby last year, and they went to the NCT classes and have recomended them to me, they said it gave them a chance to meet people etc, but i suppose its all down to personal choice, i am looking into them for me and my partner but haven't decided fully yet

The class here is condensed into one day which they run on one Sunday every month which you attend the month before you are due. I have no idea if it is worth going but I figure it can't hurt to attend. Plus after OH's shock when I told him we have to push out the placenta after the baby and him commenting he thought it "you know.... just went away" it will be worth going just to see how he copes
