anyone else disappointed?

Hi

Went back to hospital for a repeat 20 wk scan today (bub in wrong position last week) and he was asleep, sucking his thumb (cute). However, the midwife was very quite through the scan and just didnt seem interested. I also mentioned the fact that I had some pain and decreased movement and she was like 'oh well its early for you to feel it anyway' um... hello been feeling it for 6 weeks
anyway came out feeling really disheartened - prob just my hormones!!!!
sorry for rant

I don't blame you. Once in awhile they just make you feel as if they don't have time for you.

I can empathise. I had my dating scan last week and felt so deflated after it. The sonographer didnt say anything to me except "baby's in funny position so photos will be rubbish!!" Not once did she mention that the baby was ok. I was in tears after.

But you now have to look forward to the LO arriving...xx

Awww... I'm sorry about how your scan went. The scanner should be more sympathetic. They do see pregnant women all day long, but that is their profession and they need to understand that. Us women who don't work for a doctor's office can't see our baby on a regular basis and we wait what seems like years to see our LO only for a few minutes and then wait some more. Also, they make private scans so expensive that some people can't afford to do them.

I hope when you book your private scan that your LO cooperates better for you.
