Safety of 3d Scans

I've found a place thats about an hour from me who will do a 3d scan for non medical purposes (not common in QLD, Aus). So i'd love to do it, it's pretty cheap really.
My question is, is there any harmful effects it can have? I have never heard of any, but it could just be me.

they dont think so.
They think scans are safe in moderation - so I decided to just have my medically necessary ones. I wouldnt want a very long scan.
I thought i'd miss out the chances of a 3D (non medical) one just in case...i mean, chances are it's safe, but there have been some people who've disputed it.
Anyway, I personally decided to wait another few months, save my money, because after then i can see my baby is all his 3D glory all I like.

People will say that people have scans every day adn that they have normal babies. But some things wouldnt show up till much later maybe..years after...I dunno...I guess I'm just a bit of a scardey-cat.

I live in France but right close to teh boarder of Switzerland so I'm being treated there.
I should update my profile.
We get a scan at 12 and 20 weeks. 12 weeks was maybe 10 minuets, 20 weeks was maybe 25. Dont think I'll have another unless anything goes wrong..

I do, very luckily, get a tiny 2 minute scan each time I see my doc though (once a month at moment) - it's the way he checks the heartbeat. It only lasts 2 mins and the machien sint as good as the big 12 adn 20 wk scnas, but it is nice to see baby!
I guess if the time of scans is my issue then you deserve another!
