when i was at school, i did child development and a M/W came in with a placenta, the baby had only been born at 8am and she was in our class at 10;30. its like i massive jelly fish.

That is so gross. I do agree with the other posters, just bring home a blanket that the baby has been wrapped up in and let the dog get used to the new scent. This is what I plan on doing with our boxer. I'm worried about how he will react, he is very protective of me and he also doesn't understand children (he thinks they can handle 83 pounds of muscle jumping on them and playing). He's a big dog and super sweet, but is not aware of his size, lol!!! He's a big dope.

Eating placenta (for humans or animals) is just disgusting....... YUK!!!

OMG!!! The whole idea of placentas makes me feel sick!!!

My aunt is a m/w and she said alot of women take the placenta home to make it into a pate for the family....
i can safely say i won't be doing that
