But it seems that the nurse must have been having a rough day the first time i spoke to her?!!

She rang me back a few hours later & sounded like a totally different person! She said she'd checked everything out & there are only a couple I really need but they are OK as long as im further than 16wks. so i've got an appt but she said we needed to discuss the malaria protection cos im not allowed to take the strongest one which is normally recommended. Apparently there are a few options to choose from and I'll just take bucketloads of mozzie repellent & surround myself in it!!
Phew! what a relief.

oooh ask the doc if you can herbal take garlic tablets - my OH took them when we went to Kenya and didnt get bitten once. I didnt take them and got bitten right in teh middle of my forehead within 10 minutes!!!
His friend in the army - always in hot sweaty palces - recomended it to him.
