I'm Currently Feeling: | Maternity Discrimination??? Well I thought the western world had finally realised that women need to have babies to keep the human race going and they should be allowed to carry one working etc etc. I work in a law firm so I should be ok right? I seem to have slowly stopped being given new cases and now I have only 30 cases instead of around double that. I assumed, how naive, that it was because my boss hadnt realised I didnt have much on so I emailed him. I was ignored. Then he was too busy. I called my mum on the way home and she was like durrr its because your pregnant. My jaw dropped. My mum is only 43 (im 24) she was very young when she had me so I always think things have moved on alot since she had me. But she must be right! Well with these hormones right now I think I may explode at work. Surely I should be allowed to carry on as I was, why shouldnt I be able to carry on my career. Hmmm!
Anyone else had anything similar?

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think my boss is passing less to me, but I hope it's cause he doesn't want to overload me, not that he's worried about my pregnancy brain!
I'm not complaining too much though, as it is nice and relaxed! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think he might jus be lightening your load to releive the stress. Also from a managers point of view, when you do go on maternity leave someone else is going to do your work so maybe he's trying to slowly shift it. My boss is being nice to me and has lightened my load although it means i get the boring jobs now
Don't let them push you out though that would just be their way of avoiding maternity pay! (wrong i know) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My job hasn't changed one bit. We got really slow during the winter months because of all the snow and they didn't give our department money to build in new subdivisions (work for a cable company). My work has recently just picked up and I have enough work to keep me busy all day long (finally). In June, I believe they are bringing in a temp for me to train while I am out. We'll see how this goes because one of our other departments have been through at least 4 or 5 temps in the past 5 or 6 months. I'm not looking forward to training someone, I'm not a good teacher and I am very particular about how I do things and organize things (kind of a freak like that I guess). |
