how does a blood clot feel?

I have a blood clotting disorder, but they won't put me on blood thinners unless I get a clot. Every time I get a bad leg cramp im worrying!

already once during this pregnancy I spent 3 days in hospital thinking I had one only to find out I didnt. This was a waste of my time, and the hospitals.

Once again I have a bad cramp... how do I know the difference????

I had a Pulmonary Embolism 11mths ago and was given blood thinners once i was confirmed as pregnant, but the PE was in my lung so symtoms will be different to a leg DVT but my mum had a DVT twice before she died of a Pulmonary Embolism and her symtoms was redness to the leg area, slightly swollen and really bad pain that she couldnt walk properly, sorry thats all i can explain hers hope that helps

Will they at least allow you to take a baby asprin?? That doesn't seem to be as medically harsh as blood thinners. That is what I take. They talked about Heparin with me, but ended up not giving it to me, so now I just take one baby asprin a day. I have a Protein S deficiency. I would call your MW and just ask...can't hurt, especially as you already are known to have a clotting issue.

It's often accompanied by swelling, but I just read that there can be times where there are no 'symptoms'.... Some people say it can cause numbness also... If you are worried, remember it's better to be safe than sorry.

I keep getting weird pains in my left arm and left leg...it's had me a bit worried because I don't really drink enough and I'm on a long haul flight on Monday... :S I've just been looking out for the swelling along with pain really, but so far all I seem to have had is cramps because they stop after a while...
