Was just wondering if it's only me, or if any of you pregnant mums to be feel the same..
Now that I'm OBVIOUSLY pregnant, EVERYBODY and I mean EVERYBODY has to say "Why don't you name him/her after me?" ARG! I know they are just kidding around but it gets annoying as F*K! Sorry, just had to vent it somewhere.
+ Also everybody commenting on how FAT I'm getting, how big my LOVEHANDLES have gotten and asking if I'm going to have a huge baby! UGH!

I had people say that to me a couple times. It makes it kinda weird, because you are like, "no.." *long pause*! Like.. you dont want them to feel like "I dont like your name" or "Your name isn't good enough" but really..
weird situations pregnant women get put in!

Don;t let their words get on you. They are just jealous of you. I love being pregnant and sometimes people do say things that's very annoying.
Last night i went to the restaurant with my OH and the waitress said "Are you pregnant?" I said"yes" she said "That's why. I saw your bump"
then when she served the food she started again
"How many months now?"
i said "just about 5 months"
"Your bump look a bit small for this stage?" and she looked curious
I said "My bump is fine, it's big enough for 5 months. When i wear different clothes, it looks bigger"
I didn;t think she know ANYTHING about pregnancy.
But you can't stop people's mouths you know. They don't mind their own business but others
Anyway, lots of people said nice things too, so i don't let those annoying people bother me (too much )
By the way, from the picture you look fine. You know i put on 10kilos already and i'm only 5 months.

Every Tom, Dick & Harry has to have their say. I haven't had much of it yet but I have been warned. I'll just ignore it.

I haven't had anyone say we must name the baby after them. If they do I'll just snort and say no.

People telling me I'm fat I'm not fond of. A woman here at work loves it. Yesterday morning I walked past her office and she started mumbling (she doesn't talk properly) and started giggling so I knew she had something to say about my weight gain. So I ignored her. Then when I went back to my office to put something down she got up to follow me. Then I went to the bathroom and she followed me! Eventually she gave up. Think she got the hint.

dont worry - they're no doubt just joking about the name thing!!!!!! (I know I said it to my friend who was pregnant...i didnt really expect her to call it afetr me!!....for a start it's a boy! heheheheh)

My OH wanted to name our baby after his friend if we were having a boy just to shut him up. Needless to say, that caused an arguement and a half.

mine isnt private. I've already named my boy. I didnt personally feel the need to keep it a secret or a suprise. It's a family name and i wont change my mind. I think people are just trying to be interested. Seems mean to get annoyed at them.

Hello - new to all this. 2nd pregnancy, 23 weeks, feeling huge! I am a teacher and I will never forget, in my first pregnancy, a dinner lady at school commented as I walked towards her - here comes the Oompa Loompa!!!!!!!! I was too shocked to reply, so waited for my moment. As she walked through the staffroom that lunchtime, I loudly recounted her comments, adding at the end - "at least when I give birth, I'll not be an Oompa Loompa anymore - unlike her!!" Mean, but had the desired effect! Ignore any isn't your bump big/small etc comments. Every pregnancy is so different - my two have been so different it's unbelievable. Must be having a girl (or a monster!!)

People keep telling me I look small for my dates, like obviously they´re right and me and my midwife are wrong! And the amount of people that I know (fortunately) that just come up and put their hand on my bump is amazing. My friend is pg as well and I have never touched her bump (so to speak lol) and would not do. And as for the name thing, people start reeling off names they like, one woman was very insistent I call the baby George!!!! Don´t even know the sex yet!!
