Sleeping

So I can officially no longer sleep on my stomach because it hurts. I try to sleep on my sides but I usually wake up every hour or so because my side starts hurting. Last night after getting up I decided I was just going to sleep on my back, didn't bother me because I figured I would start hurting if it was a bad position to be in. DH asks me this morning if he needed to wake me up when sleeping on my back (apparently he tried and I slept through it ). Anyways to make him more comfortable I would see what you ladies think?

Yep, I feel quite a bit of movement in the mornings and in the evenings. And whenever I want to feel her move I tell DH to wake her up (she reacts to him having his hand on my stomach )

For awhile, the only postion that was comfy was lying on my back. Now, I couldn't do it unless I'm in my recliner (where it is some what controlled). I think your body will tell you that it can't be in that postion. I try laying like that in bed and my belly doesn't feel right and it's just not comfy. Just listen to your body and should be fine.

I always religeously slept on my front and had to stop quite quick as it got uncomfortable. It was a nightmare for the first few weeks, but i eventually got used to being on my side. I put a pillow between my knees to stop me rolling onto my front. Now there is no danger of that.

When is it recommened to start sleeping on your side?? Or is it better to start doing this straight away. I am 15wk.

like emma12uk I use pillows to make me mroe comfy on my side. Without one i got achey lower back adn achey belly.

I got a horse shoe maternity pillow and have it kind of horse shoe away from me, with it between my knees, ankles and with the rounded bit sort of pushe s alittle under the belly...might be wortha try?
Here's a pic in case my explanation is rubbish...though this may be equally rubbish!! hahaha.. ....maternity pillow.JPG
My doc told me to try and sleep on left side.
