After such a long wait..I've felt the baby!

Well, I've moaned a few times about my anterior placenta and how this has prevented me from feeling baby kick. I've worried that it might be weeks until I eventually did but....
Yesterday, I was lying in bed, all peaceful in the morning, OH was watching Match of the Day. And then I felt it! It was followed quite closely by OH with tea and toast and when I told him he was all excited and touching my belly but I had to tell him it might be ages before he can feel the movement.

That's not all tho. I've been struggling to get to sleep cos my shoulders have been aching so I tend to switch from left side to right about 4 times before I finally settle. Every time I laid on my right side last night I felt it again! Just one kick to say hello.

Now the best part, I felt it this morning in bath, 4 kicks quite close together. My wrist was resting on the spot as I was doing my Nintendo brain training (yes, in the bath!) and I'm sure I felt it on my wrist!

I am now so excited and can't wait for OH to be able to feel it too. Sorry for long, joyous, excitable monologue but it's all just too much! lol Yay!

I'm due 4 days after you! Very close. This has just been a real milestone for me and I am truly over the moon. Especially as it really felt like a kick (a bit like a strong eye-twitch) so maybe missing out on the softer sensations wasn't so bad after all. So so happy!
Am looking forward to feeling it much more.
It's great to be so excited eh? I really want August 4th to come round now!

A strong eye twitch? That's exactly how I would describe my first movements - now they're getting really strong and my whole tummy jumps occasionally.
It's such a great feeling and it's flying by now! Won't be long until we're in the 3rd tri! xx xx

Lynz - maybe we'll be thankful of anterior placenta further down the line? Could mean we sleep better at night and such. I don't know about you but I'm not too sad about the placenta thing either cos I do hope we'll have another Baby Potter after this one, although I need to watch the clock as I'll be 33 this year! Aaargh!

Debralouise...wow; if you're 4 days ahead of me then maybe won't be long till my OH can feel the kicks if your whole belly jumps! That's great
