If i had an incompetent cervix would i know by now?

I'm 19 weeks today and was just stood up chatting to a colleague and felt a few stabbing pains really low down like on my cervix.

I've not noticed this before but then i've been off work since before Christmas and haven't been standing for long periods.

It went as soon as i sat down and i've not had it since, not yet anyway! It wasn't so much really painful just a shocking stab type pain several times.

I've been worried that my cervix wont be up to the job as i've had 3 IVF attempts and several exploratory ops which also traumatise it.

Thanks
xxx

you can get it checked by ultrasound where they will measure it, other than that there is no way of knowing x

Is this an unethical thing to say? I'm not sure, but i'll risk it...

Could you say you have had a bit of a bleed? To getthe scan for your own reassurance.

Apologies if this is the wrong thing to say xxx

Not sure about incompetent cervix but the stabbing pains seem normal. There are always lots of posts on here about them. I get them too xxx

Oooh, so maybe it's ok then, it only lasted about 2 minutes and now it's gone, it was just enough for me to think 'ooh what the hell is that' if you see what i mean!

And because it's near my cervix i freaked! although i'm freaking at any pains if it's 'down there'! Completely irrational i know!
