I bought maternity pants pretty early but haven't worn them yet. I'm actually getting the jeans I bought hemmed cause they are too long. I am still wearing regular jeans, but it's getting tougher (even though they are below my belly, he he). I have been wearing maternity tops ever since I got into the 2nd trimester (maybe half way through). My chest is huge and I just woke up one day to a pronounced belly. Having the extra room is nice. I haven't bought anything fancy, just plain jane shirts (only wearing them temporarily). So many people have given me maternity clothes, but they are either too big, too small or just plain ugly. I'd rather just buy my own, but it's very nice of everyone to help like they did.
I am lucky - I have always had huge boobs and it is fashionable here to wear tops that go in under the bust and flare out over the belly. I had loads of these before i got pregs and I think they are going to see me through the whole 9 months!
i bought my first item today .... lol my jeans were jus hurtin me so much i could only get 3/4 lengths tho as the jeans where so long in length will have to try again in another shop lol... xx
I don't remember EXACTLY but I'm pretty sure I didn't bother with it till around 22-24 weeks. But that's because most of my stuff still sort of fit. None of it was very flattering though
I couldn't wear my normal clothes since i was about 5-6 weeks. I bought a few big trendy top that girls like to wear with leggings ( you know what i mean ). It's not called maternity clothes but it's a bit more fashionable and I can wear them when after the baby's born as well.
Some normal tops still fit me but only cover half of my bump, so i wear them sometimes and only at home.
I´ve been wearing the trousers for a few weeks now. They are sooooo comfy. Haven´t really got any maternity tops, but all the "normal" tops that are on sale are smock types anyway so they fit. Got a bump band but it´s still too big at the top, and some of the trousers are a bit big round the bump too.
It's for women working on a tight budget. You can wear them over the top of your pre-pregnancy pants without having to zip or button up. Or if your maternity wear is still too big this keep them in place nicely.
