Feet Hurt

anyone else having trouble with their feet hurting? I thought it was just because I was out grocery shopping and on my feet for few hours, but it's doing it again today. I haven't been on my feet much today but when I started to make dinner they just started hurting. I mean it feels like I just spent 12 hours on my feet and I know that feeling so well but I haven't. Is this normal? I've never experienced it with my other pregnancies.

I find my legs hurt if I spend to long standing up.. Haven't had a problem with my feet though.. Maybe water retention??

I think it's possible to get that in you're feet

Perfect excuse for a foot rub though ay!

Hope they stop hurting you soon hun

I never had it too bad with my first pregnancy but I have definitely heard that this is a pregnancy symptom alright. I've read that there is a hormone which functions to relax the ligaments/tendons in the abdomen area, allowing the belly to expand for the growing baby. I also heard that this hormone does not affect just the abdomen, but the whole body. Hence there are warnings about exercise/yoga and whatnot as a pregnant woman can overexert and injure herself from a false illusion of what her body is capable of doing at that moment in time.

I really think this same issue can affect the feet in some pregnant women, as the foot's ligaments and tendons relax more than they ''should'' and coupled with being on one's feet for awhile, it can likely lead to this foot cramping.

I haven't had it regularly in this pregnancy but on one particular day, after doing not much more walking around than usual, I came home with my feet in absolute agony. Not sure why it would happen that day and not others. Maybe the hormone was in full swing at that time as the baby/uterus was going through a growth spurt...dunno! I just elevated my legs out on the couch at night and kept off my feet the rest of the day, and got a foot rub from my husband..I felt ok the next day.

My feet have been hurting this week, but I also just got new orthotics from my chiropractor and it could be that I'm not used to them yet. Hubby has been nice enough to give me some foot massages
