I have lost 10lbs since finding out i was pregnant cos i have felt soooo crap. Not a bad thing though cos i am slightly overweight ! Sure it will start piling on soon.
I lost several pounds to begin with, but today i weighed myself and ive gained 3 pounds (week 15 and 4 days). This doesnt seem to bad seeing as i ate a couple of naughty take aways last week-oops.
by week 25 i think it's around 23 lbs. According to the tables i'm high!!!
But I've been being healthy and sensible. obviously i have a few treats from time to time (I am pregnant, I deserve them!), but nothing totally daft... So i guess its just what my body is meant to do.
I'm not going to diet whilst pregnant thats for sure.
We lay down stores of "brown" fat don't we during pregnancy? So, if we don't actually put much weight on I'm wondering if some of our existing fat converts into brown fat? I reckon brown is broken down more easily to provide the extra energy needed for breast-feeding.
